CODING PROGRAM This term all students in Years K-6 will be participating in a coding program. This program is being delivered by SCOPE IT. Teaching Kids to Code aims to provide a fundamental set of skills and logical thought process techniques. The learning intention is not solely for the pursuit of knowledge around computer science, but rather as a complementary set of skills for their existing subjects. Teaching students to code teaches a structured methodology of learning, logical thought process, problem solving, collaborative team work and many other skills. Often this is generalised as algorithmic thinking. SCOPE IT like to term it Teaching Kids to Learn by Teaching Kids to Code.
