Comprehensive Courses Apex Learning Comprehensive Courses deliver a wide range of solutions for original credit, Advanced Placement (AP)*, credit recovery, and STAAR preparedness. Our rigorous standardsbased courses in math, science, English, social studies, world languages, and electives meet high school graduation requirements and provide a complete course of study that offers breadth of standards coverage, depth of instruction, and integrated formative and summative assessment. Students discover concepts and apply knowledge through real-world examples that help them visualize concepts and extend their learning. Each lesson includes multiple opportunities for students to explore, apply, practice and confirm their understanding. TEKS-Aligned Courses Apex Learning has developed Texas-specific courses to meet the requirements of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR)**. The rigor of the instructional design ensures the high level of student performance necessary to demonstrate mastery on the STAAR end-of-course exams.
