Thank you A huge thank you to the ladies who raise money from Home Round The Corner who have donated 765 to school. The money will be used towards developing the outside learning space. Any children with pre-school siblings will also be taken on Thursday 8th February. This will be available from 8.15 am. Please come to the school office. Annie and Amy-Rose Learning Ambassadors went with Mrs Halliwell into the local community to give out 'golden tickets'. The girls' behaviour was impeccable and they showed all of our school values, Mrs Halliwell was very proud! Children at Holy Trinity school can be given a golden ticket for showing our school values outside of school, their name then goes into a prize draw for the chance to win amazing prices in the local area like a free class at Oak Park or a cinema ticket! Sickness Please ensure you keep children off school who are showing symptoms of sickness and diarrhoea and ensure that they do not return to school until 48 hours after the last bout.
World Book Day is Thursday 1st March and Shakespeare Week is 12th-18th March. At Holy Trinity, we will be combining the two events and each class will be studying one of Shakespeare s plays (at their age level) for 3 weeks - starting on Monday 26th February. Key Dates Thursday 1st March - our annual fund-raising Read-a-thon will take place. Details will be sent out soon. Friday 2nd March - children are invited to dress up as a Shakespearean character. He wrote about Kings, Queens, Romans, witches and fairies (to name but a few of his most famous characters) so there is quite a lot of scope. Friday 16th Wednesday 21st March - The Scholastic Book Fair will be in school for children to browse and purchase books if they wish.
Inset Day The school will be closed for all pupils on Thursday 29th March 2018 for staff training. This is the last inset day to be confirmed for the 17/18 school year as Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th July 2018 have already been communicated as being inset days. Punctuality It has been noted that a number of children are entering school through the front entrance just after the second bell has rung. Please note that children should only be entering school this way if they are late due to exceptional circumstances. Children should arrive in school in good time to be on the playground ready to enter school at 8.50am with their peers. If a child is late, i.e. arrives after 8.55am, they must be accompanied by a parent or carer to sign them in and they will receive a late mark in the school register. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter. Swimming Each Wednesday afternoon pupils from Key Stage Two walk to Oak Park for swimming lessons. We currently need more volunteers to be added to the rota of adults accompanying this walk. If you are able to help out with this please could you contact the school office. SCHOOL BLOG Please take a look at the school blog run by some keen bloggers during lunchtimes. You will find the blog on the school website within Pupils and HT School Blog.
It has been decided as a Cluster of schools that there will not be any further non uniform days for Mylee as we understand that some parents may want to shield their children from this tragic event. However, there are a number of collection boxes in the shops on Brownhills High Street. St James Church are also holding a Fundraising event on 18th February.
