Apply to 4 or more! Collegeboard: The probability of enrollment increases significantly when students apply to at least 4 colleges. Low-income students who enroll in a college that matches their academic achievement, graduate at higher rates and complete their degrees in less time than students who don t attend an academically matched college Students shouldn t eliminate colleges from their consideration based solely on sticker price.

AB 540 AB 540 is a law that provides in-state tuition benefits for undocumented students and certain other students who attend or will attend public universities in California. AB 540 Information Night- Nov. 19 th @5:30 To qualify as an AB 540 student, undocumented students must: Have attended a California high school for 3 years or more full academic years (between grades 9 through 12. They do not need to be consecutive years). Have or will graduate from a California high school File or plan to file an affidavit as required by individual institutions, stating that he/she will apply for legal residency as soon as possible. Not hold a valid non immigrant visa (F, J, H, L, A, E, etc.).
AB 540 Eligibility AB 540 students may be: Students who are undocumented; U.S. citizens who are not California residents Nonimmigrant Visa status of T or U. The California Nonresident Tuition Exemption Request Form or Affidavit is how you officially become classified as an AB 540 student. See the link at www.caldreamact.org. AB 540 students can ONLY Apply/Attend college/university in CALIFORNIA (CSU,UC,CC)!!
Final Thoughts Keep copies of everything!! Senior year DOES COUNT! All acceptances conditional dependent on final grades and maintaining same level of eligibility. Change in schedule- students MUST notify colleges; better yet- ask permission first!
