Sustainability News They re Calling On Us The Environment and Sustainability Team have been working on a project to help save the gorillas. That project is called They re Calling On Us ( Zoos Victoria designed the original project and it is called They re Calling On You but we are taking ownership of our own part of the project and changing the name). The project is about donating old mobile phones so that we can recycle coltan and save the gorillas homes. Coltan is a metal that is found in your mobile phones. Most of the world's coltan is mined in central Africa where the gorillas live. We will be having a casual clothes day on Tuesday 31st July (World Ranger s Day). for students who bring old mobile phones, mobile phone batteries, or mobile phone accessories or they can bring a gold coin for the Thin Green Line Foundation. This foundation helps train and equip the rangers who help protect the world s wildlife. So start collecting all your old mobile phones, phone batteries and accessories!
