Application Criteria, Important Information, and Selection Process Early College High Schools take into consideration certain student populations as part of their recruitment efforts: 1. First-generation college students, or belong to any group traditionally underrepresented in college 2. Students who lack access to the academic preparation needed to meet college readiness standards 3. Students for whom the cost of college is challenging 4. Students who participate in the English as a Second Language program (ESL) Conditions for admission to an Early College High School. Students must complete: 1. Choices application 2. ECHS application form including recommendations, student responses, and parent responses 3. A copy of your most recent academic record (report card) 4. Attend parent/student orientation - scheduled by the campus 5. Make a commitment to attend a summer transition program All documents must be submitted to 100 N. University, Suite NE243 before the December 1 at 5:00p.m. deadline. Please note: Upon acceptance to an ECHS, you must submit evidence of being immunized against meningococcal meningitis. Residents of Fort Worth ISD have first priority; students in TABS Prep program at Stripling Middle School receive priority in placement at TABS.
