02 MESSAGE FROM THE DEANS S ince its inception in 1992, IMM (originally called IMaC) has taken great pride in our slogan, Global Reach, Local Immersion. In that tradition, our IMM students spend one week on the ISM University of Management and Economics campus in Vilnius as part of their 19-month journey across seven countries on four continents. Our students interact with managers, politicians, and faculty who provide perspectives on working in a new market economy. They also learn about the challenges and rewards of creating new institutions and being a member of the European Union and NATO. Each year at graduation I tell our newest IMM Global Executive MBA alumni that part of my job is to make them wish they had started their program a year later. In that spirit of continuous improvement - I am glad to welcome ISM as the newest IMM partner. Vilnius is a city easy to explore, provides a rich cross-section of domestic and international companies, and reflects events of the region through its 700 year history. ISM is a leader in the country and region for business education. ISM s involvement in the IMM program will enhance firms in the region by exposing their employees to global business models and practices. Concurrently, IMM students will experience the transition, uncertainty, and change ubiquitous in the region, resulting in enhanced skills to better manage their own companies. W elcome to the Executive School of ISM University of Management and Economics! Central/Eastern Europe has undergone amazing changes during the last two decades.
