History of the Carmel Lacrosse Program
Carmel Lacrosse History - Summary Well structured, established and successful programs for both Boys and Girls 7 State Championships 8 State Runners-Up 22 Final Four Appearances 6 High School Teams (3 Boys/3 Girls) with ~130 athletes participating per year Well-established and growing feeder system through Carmel Dads Club from 3rd-8th grade levels Accomplishments 27 players named as All-Americans Over 75 All-State players / 4 Player of the Year recipients 60+ student-athletes that went on to play in college, many of them NCAA scholarship student-athletes
Carmel Lacrosse History - Girls In the last 10 years, success in the Girls program has included: 3 State Championships 2 State Runners-Up 7 Final Four Appearances 3 High School Girls Teams (Varsity, JV Blue & JV Gold) with an average of 40+ girls participating per year Since 2002, Carmel Dads Club has provided a strong developmental program and feeder system into the high school The program has players participating from 3 rd -8 th grade levels Accomplishments 10 players named as All-Americans Numerous players have been named to All-State honors Dozens of girls have gone on to play in college on NCAA programs and on clubs as scholar athletes
Carmel Lacrosse History - Boys 18 year program with 4 IHSLA State Titles, 6 State Runners-up, and 15 Final Four appearances 3 High School Boys teams (Varsity, JV1, JV2) with an average of 75 players participating per year Since 2002 Carmel Dads Club has provided a strong development and feeder program to the HS level, averaging +/- 400 players participating between 3 rd and 8 th grade Accomplishments both on and off field 17 All-Americans Over 75 All-State players / 4 Player of the Year recipients 40+ student-athletes that went on to play in college, many of them NCAA scholarship student-athletes

Lacrosse Adds 130 Opportunities for CHS Students to Play a Recognized Sport - You can make a big school small CHS Statement on Extracurricular Activities (From CHS web site) The Carmel High School family strives to create a positive environment in which all are challenged and inspired to achieve their potentials. Academics and student activities are the backbone of Carmel High School. Activities can benefit students only if they participate in them. Through participation in the activities program, a student will become a part of the rich tradition of our school. Research has shown that participation in extracurricular activities is a better predictor for success in adult life than college entrance examinations or grade point averages. Positive participation in activities also shows students' level of commitment to and involvement in their school. Carmel High School students are fortunate to be at Indiana's largest high school with a wide range of opportunities for participation. The phrase "you can make a big school small, but you can't make a small school big" is heard frequently at Carmel and similar schools. Although we are a large school, the opportunity to participate in activities gives students the chance to "make a big school small" by forming closer relationships with other students. Each activity described in this handbook has something to offer. The opportunities for making friends, achieving personal growth, traveling to new places and developing new skills are limitless. The Carmel High School staff encourages students to get involved in the activities program. For many years we have told our students that, "You can only take with you what you leave behind" and to please choose to "leave something behind" by becoming involved in our activities program.
