UP PCS Pre Exam Syllabus 2017 Pattern of Examination The pattern of the examination is objective type. The Exam consists of two papers Paper 1 which is General Studies and Paper 2 which is CSAT ( an aptitude Test ) Note Second Paper ( CSAT ) is qualifying in nature and marks wont be countd for selection for Mains Only Paper 1 marks will be counted for Selection for Mains Syllabus of Paper 1 The Syllabus of UPPSC Prelims Paper 1 is largely based on Syllabus of UPSC Examination Prelims. General Science Syllabus of UPPSC Prelims Paper 2 UPPSC also changed the exam pattern copying the changes made by UPSC. It introduced the CSAT Paper which has below 8 components. In 2015, UPSC declared that Prelims Paper 2 ( CSAT ) will be qualifying in nature with minimum 33% to be secured by the candidates. UPPSC also followed the trend and now CSAT Paper of UPPSC is also qualifying in nature. Below is the syllabus of UPPSC Paper 2 Syllabus. Approach / Strategy The UPPCS Exam is one of the coveted exams of state Uttar Pradesh and level of competition is very high as compared to other state PCS exams in India. A candidate must have some strategy while he/she is preparing for UPPCS Prelims Exam which will help them to crack the exam.
