HS Personal Graduation Plans Each high school principal must designate a school counselor or school administrator to review personal graduation plan options with each student entering grade nine together with that student s parent or guardian. Before the conclusion of the school year, the student and the student s parent or guardian must confirm and sign a personal graduation plan for the student. HB 18 House Bill 18 requires that students be taught about the possibilities of high school in the new Foundation HS program and explore some career path ideas for themselves as they look toward high school enrollment. There are very specific topics set out in the legislation to be covered. You are allowed to teach it as its own year long/semester course or as part of a larger course students are already enrolled in. This material is required to be taught at least once to a student in 7th or 8th grade.
