HOPE Waiver Options One semester of Marching Band, Color Guard, or Dance class will waive ½ credit of the physical education portion of HOPE. Students will still be required to take either ½ credit of HOPE or ½ credit of Personal Fitness. Two years of ROTC will satisfy the HOPE and Fine Art requirement. Two seasons of a junior varsity or varsity sport will waive the HOPE requirement.
