Congratulations to our National Primary Maths Challenge Winners! Congratulations to all our pupils who were invited to take part in the Bonus Round of the National Primary Maths Challenge last term, especially our award winners! 68,000 pupils nationally entered the Primary Maths Challenge in November. 3,255, or 5%, of those pupils who scored highly, were invited to take part in the Bonus Round in February 2018. This is a very challenging paper that covers a variety of mathematical skills. 21 of our senior pupils in Years 5 and 6 qualified to take part in the Bonus Round: the Mathematicians of the Future. 18 pupils actually took part on the day and of those, 15 won bronze, silver and gold awards: A magnificent achievement!

MKPS Under 11 Girls Netball Team IAPS National Finalists! We were delighted that our U11 Girls Netball Team qualified for the IAPS National Netball Finals for the 6th consecutive year! After some hard fought and well played matches, the girls came 2nd in their region and so qualified to go through to the finals in Basildon, where the 40 best teams in the country were competing for the winner s trophy. There was some very stiff competition and we were proud to see our team finish 8th in their group. Well done to them all!

Poets in the Making - MKPS Poetry Slam with Mark Niel, Milton Keynes Poet Laureate MKPS celebrated World Poetry Day with our Annual Poetry Slam and welcomed Milton Keynes Poet Laureate Mr Mark Niel to the school. Class 11 pupils took part in a masterclass delivered by Mark and performed and polished their poems to each other throughout the day. The successful performances were voted through to the final assembly, where the children delivered their poems confidently and amusingly to an enthusiastic audience. Well done to all the pupils who took part, and huge congratulations to Supreet Dhami who was crowned MKPS Poetry Slam winner 2018.
