Shri Renukadevi Arts Commerce & Science Mahavidyalaya, Mahur Dist. Nanded. STATUTORY DECLARATION UNDER SECTION 4 1(b) of RTI Act 2005 Shri Renukadevi Arts Senior College, Mahur Tq. Mahur Dist. Nanded, with the purpose of imparting qualitative & value based Higher Education to the rural masses that are deprived from such formal education. Previous to the year 2000, such units of higher education do not exist within the territory of 50 kms of the town. The intensity and the basic need of the rural masses prompted our Management to open Shri Renukadevi Arts College, at Mahur. This is the only unit in Mahur Taluka to impart higher education in traditional disciplines. After the establishment of this college people from this area advised and requested the Management to provide the facility of Science and Commerce in this college. The College is permanently affiliated to S.R.T.M. University, Nanded and is included under 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act. The College has 6.4 acres of land with its own infrastructure and building. At present time in this college, more than 1296 students are pursuing the higher education in different disciplines. Officers of RTI : Dr. Lone R.L. Principal First Appellate Officer The college deals with all information sought under RTI Act 2005 and prompt in dealing with RTI petition to avoid any pending case before Public Information Officer or First Appellate Officer and comply with queries of Maharashtra State Information Commission. Duties of Officers and Teachers of College: Principal: 01. He is chiefly engaged in maintaining discipline in the campus by his administrative skills and principles required for it. 02. He distributes the duties among Head of departments, teaching and non-teaching staff of college. 03. He acts as Centre Superintendent of all Examinations. 04. He operates all accounts of college. 05. He constitutes various committees to take care of different matters and their solution and is the chairperson of all committees. HODs and their duties: 01. To distribute the Syllabus among the faculty members. 02. To keep surveillance on progress of assigned sections of syllabi among the concerned teachers. 03. Require lesson plan prepared by the teachers to be presented before him from time to time which help in smooth delivery of lectures and advance preparedness of students on the given topics. 03. To conduct different educational tours within the department. Teachers: 01. To conduct the classes allotted to them. 02. To organize seminars on regular basis. 03. To inculcate the feeling of self-confidence through regular interaction during the course of teaching. 04. To conduct internal tests and to conduct annual examination as and when assigned such duties by the centre superintendent. 05. To promote good health, giving students a new dimension in the pursuit of education. To make the classes more interactive. 06. To promote the students for extracurricular activities. Peons: 01. They open the classrooms and keeps them clean and tidy 02. Switch on and off of fans and light as required 03. Safety of college in terms of Day Guard and night guard are also assigned to them 04. Serve all officers and teachers of college 05. Serve drinking water to the employees and visitors when required 06. Any other work as may be assigned to him by concerned officer from time to time Admission: Admission of students is done first come first basis. The admission is allowed as per the Seat provided by the university. Admission of student is done as per the direction of govt. of Maharashtra Scholarship: This is provided by the state government to SC, ST and OBC students by online applications on Mahadbt portal of Welfare Department to financially assist the poor students in their endeavor to continue studies. Scholarship for minorities are also given to the needy students. Committees of College 01. Purchase Committee: The committee looks after proposals of all purchases to be made out of grant received to maintain quality and least price by inviting quotation or tender. 02. Discipline Committee: For maintaining discipline among the students and also recommends disciplinary action against the erring students. 03. Development Committee: The committee discusses over proposed plan as per the need of college for infrastructure development and sends the same to the Management for respective action. 04. SC-ST Committee: The district has majority of ST and SC therefore this committee has been reasonably pertinent to deal with problems being faced by ST students. 05. Anti-Ragging Committee: This has been constituted to deal with any occurrence of ragging within the campus. However, no complaint has been lodged in this regard till now. 06. Women Cell: Women Cell takes care of all inconveniences of female staff and students of the college 07. Grievance Cell: It has been constituted to listen to the grievance of all employees retired or working for its redressal.
