We had several grade 6 students complete their sacrament of Confirmation. Our grade one class led the Mary celebration, and we have been praying the mysteries of the rosary daily, as a whole school. We hope to see you for our year end mass on June 12 th at 10:00 at St. Joseph s church. In sports, our junior high students participated in a district track meet. Congratulations to Jeremy Tolontino and Ryland Porter who made it to zones. Our elementary students will have their track meet on June 4 th. Our soccer team has been tearing up the field with 4-0 wins. Way to go team!! We were fortunate to have DiscoverE science in our school, giving exciting and engaging curriculum related workshops to all classes. The presenters are all undergraduate students from the University of Alberta. Also, we are presenting a school wide art show led by Miss Nanninga. All art work will be up for two weeks, so please come and have an art walk through the school. On June 9 th at 11:00 you are invited to an open house to view the art work with your child and stay for lunch with them. There are many talented artists in St. Pat s. Our final recognition celebration is June 25 th at 9:15, followed by awards for Christian leadership, academics, volunteering and sports. There will be a school wide talent show in the afternoon. Any children interested will be meeting next week. Thank you for all of your support in keeping your child rested and ready for school this month as there are many important assessments and activities going on. Have a great month of June. Val Beilman

Call: April Fogle, Coordinator of Youth Mistry Ph: 780-532-2351 (ext 229) Visit: http://www.saintjoseph.ca/youth E-mail: stjoesyouthministry@hotmail.ca God s Dream: We are Life Long Disciples God has a dream for each of us. At the beginning of this year we invited everyone to consider what God might have in store for them. Over the course of the last nine months, we have explored how God s dream and our dream could be one intertwining beautiful narrative, symbolizing the richness of the unconditional love of the Creator and the free choice of the created person. God s dream for us is to be holy, and the path to this holiness is to become his disciple. Discipleship at its best is a free self-giving of one s heart, mind and soul to the one who deeply inspired and nurtured to follow a dream far greater and then we could ever have imagined. Just as our educational system has encouraged us to be lifelong learners, so too has Jesus inspired us to be part of the world of eternal and everlasting life. Thank you for the chance to share the discipleship journey together this year. It is an incredible gift to share the Christian journey together. Even with all its trials and tribulations there are far greater joys and moments of incredible love than one can even have possibly imagined. Through your example, dedication and love, our staff and students know that God has a dream for us all! Russ Snoble 5
