Attending monthly PTC meetings is an easy way to earn volunteer hours (see our website for volunteer hour requirements) and stay involved in our school and your children s lives. Research shows that students are more successful when their parents are actively involved with their school. Keep reading the newsletters for upcoming opportunities to help the PTC and our school.

Congratulations, welcome to our St. Pius X Catholic Community During our regular Wednesday school Mass, we welcomed two of our students into the Catholic Church. The entire school gathered around the baptismal font to celebrate. They chose one of their previous SPX teachers to support them as a godparent. What a beautiful way to begin the school year.
GO REBELS GO!!! Our St. Pius X community loves cheering on our REBELS! Athletics provides a healthy way for children to compete and expend energy by working together toward a common goal. As our community gathers to cheer on our MIGHTY REBELS; we are able to see leadership, commitment and love of the game. We learn to celebrate victories and defeats, for it's through defeat that we learn to appreciate a victory. We have dominated the field and court, but most importantly we have competed with honor. Our athletes represent our school with class and grace. SPX athletics is developing our children spiritually, academically, morally and athletically. New update regarding Middle School uniforms School Yard Uniforms is offering short sleeve versions of both the Middle School girls and Middle School boys full dress uniform shirts. For Texas weather, this is appreciated and necessary. Middle school students may wear either the short sleeve or long sleeve (girls 3/4 sleeve) as part of their full dress uniform. Thank you. Can your child read this? They are learning! Our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students use Writing Our Catholic Faith every morning to practice their handwriting. Our 2nd graders are introduced to cursive writing halfway through the school year. Our 3rd graders are beginning cursive writing, while 4th grade continues to practice their skills. Even in today s technology-filled world, it s still important to work on our fine motor skills.
Our school will be in charge of the rides and games during our Parish Festival, more details will be sent home soon. You can earn volunteer hours while having a great time at the festival!
