New University Counsellor We are happy to announce that ISB Geography teacher, Mr Andrew Roberts, has taken over the position of University Counsellor. As soon as he has found his feet in this new, additional task, we will be reporting, as in the past, on all important dates, fairs, tests and other deadlines in our special University Counselling columns. Kindness Poster Contest Grades 1-5 recently took part in a "Kindness Poster contest. The winners (pictured below) each received 10 House Points. All entries had messages of kindness and showed fantastic artwork. Great job to all of those who entered! If you have any queries, please consult Mr Roberts at: aroberts@isbremen.de or contact Mr Davis or Mr Walton. Meet Our CAS Students... Lisa, Grade 11 For my Service section of CAS, I am a member of ISB s Student Council through which we help students and consider their needs. The Student Council meets once a week to discuss issues around the school as well as to organise fun events that students can participate in. Some examples include the Uno Night, the Halloween Disco, and so on. Throughout the last half year or so, I ve learnt a lot about teamwork and have developed my leadership skills too. I have also improved my public speaking skills, which I often demonstrate in the weekly Assembly. I consider this to be absolutely crucial for my future. I hope to continue to benefit from my Student Council tasks by helping the school community while building up my own character too. 2 Parent Bulletin 6 April 2018
House News House Points Here are this week s results as per the end of Thursday, 5 April 2018. The Results of This Week There have been no events this week, but there has been a huge influx of individual House Points which have pushed all of the Houses closer to the coveted House Trophy. Keep up the good work! There's still a long way to go! House Clothes House t-shirts (and other good quality house clothing items) can be ordered from the company Meinecke Promotion, situated just north of Bremen. Please go to their website http://www.isbremenshop.de/shop/ to place your order. Once you have placed the t-shirt in the basket online, please be aware that you need to go back out of the basket to the article you require on the main homepage and click on the button Add Your House Print otherwise your t-shirt will only have the school logo on the front, but no house logo on the back! 6 April 2018 Parent Bulletin 3
