From the Principal Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! The first couple weeks of the year have gone well, thank you for the role you ve played in helping your child(ren) get ready for school. So that the remainder of the year continues positively, below are a few reminders and updates: Drop off/pick up 10-15 minutes before and after classes. 6-12 th grade siblings can come early/stay late (up to an hour) if siblings are enrolled in classes that start earlier or end later. Elementary students not supervised by parents cannot be dropped off early or picked up late. Call/email when your student(s) will miss school. Safety Drills: Participation is mandatory for anyone who is on campus during a drill or alarm. If you are onsite during an alarm, please follow directions of school staff. 6-12 th graders can have a single hour hole in their schedule, but the must be in the library, teen room or the alcove outside the office (or be supervised by their parent). Exceptions are for behavior/safety issues/concerns. Sign in & out every day. 9-12 th graders who want to leave campus during the day need the form signed by parent/guardian & returned to the office. Use Parent Access to review attendance, check grades, and access Power School (formerly Haiku). Parking lot safety: Remember that the campus has 3 schools and a daycare onsite, there are lots of little people (and big people) who access the lots throughout the day & some are hard to see. Drive slowly Be cautious & aware
