The Trinity Community We work in partnership with the home to foster Christian values. Trinity is more than a school, it is a community, a family... and every member is able, in some way, to contribute to its life. New parents are welcomed each year through meetings and social activities. The Trinity community, whilst nurturing and supporting its members, looks outward into the world. The College strives to contribute to the Mission of the Church by bringing the love of God to others. Brother John Hilet, fms Princpal If I could be of any service in any part of the globe, I would willingly do all in my power Nano Nagle

Academic Dynamic Learning Contribution Involvement Participation The College curriculum offers a wide range of subject choices and opportunities for extension and enrichment. Academic gifts are nurtured by dedicated teachers who inspire a love of learning and encourage students to strive for their highest standards. In State based tests and examinations and a range of National competitions, Trinity performs extremely well. The College has a longstanding tradition of academic excellence. 2 Making life long friends At Trinity, students develop strong bonds that develop into life long friendships.

Our Graduates The leaders of the 21st Century will need to be creative thinkers who are adaptable and articulate. Whilst many of our graduates continue onto University or further training, they are equally able to take their place in the world of work. Debating and Public Speaking Students have a variety of opportunities for involvement in activities such as Public Speaking and Debating, with the College participating in both inter-school and community based competitions. There is an aura about Trinity that seems to encourage learning

Beyond the Classroom All students are encouraged to participate in the co-curricular program which provides opportunities in a wide range of cultural, artistic, sporting and service areas. Arts, Creative & Performing Students are presented with opportunities to explore culture and the arts via vocal and ensemble groups, drama, dance, art and theatrical productions. Through the Instrumental Music Program students can develop their skills in a wide range of instruments through one to one tuition with experienced tutors. Music students are encouraged to participate in ensembles that are often invited to perform within the College or local community. Concerts are held regularly, assisting students gain confidence in their ability as performers. Drama and dance offer students the opportunity to showcase their skills in productions presented to the community annually. The study of art encourages students to explore different media, including ceramics and photography as well as drawing, sketching, painting and multi media works. Student art is displayed in exhibitions, competitions, festivals and within the School. There is an aura about Trinity that seems to encourage learning

Cultural Experiences The programmes also include a myriad of excursions and overseas cultural experiences designed to broaden learning beyond the boundaries of the classroom. Almost every year, Trinity is host to students from overseas and our students regularly take up opportunities to experience another country individually, or as a part of a Trinity group. Sport Trinity offers an innovative and diverse Sporting Program, excellent facilities and a record of success in Sports Competitions. Students enjoy the sporting complex, comprising a modern twenty five metre heated indoor swimming pool, two air conditioned basketball/netball courts and adjacent gymnasium and sporting fields. Trinity is also renowned for the quality of its Representative Teams allowing students the opportunity to represent the College in over twenty sports which includes cricket, netball, soccer, hockey, rugby union, rugby league, basketball, swimming, athletics and rowing. Trinity follows the Catholic Schools representative sporting pathway, with the opportunity to represent the Lismore Diocese and then NSW Combined Catholic Colleges through to NSW All Schools and School Sport Australia. The College has a rich and proud tradition in the sporting arena and wearing the blue and gold of Trinity is something that many strive for throughout their secondary school years.

Individual Care & Support Belonging To assist every student to develop a strong sense of belonging, the College s basic pastoral structure is the House. Each student is allocated to a House on entry to the school and remains with the same set of students and staff during their time at the College. This provides continuity of care, with students and families becoming well known to the Head of House and Tutors. Support All Staff Members are committed to assisting and guiding students, both inside and outside the classroom. Teachers recognise the unique capacities of each girl and boy and they attempt to adapt learning processes to meet these differing needs. All students are encouraged to do their best and are challenged to excel where they can. The College has a culture of high expectation and a tradition of solid achievement. We must love them and love them all equally St Marcellin Champagnat

Nurturing Students are at their best in environments where they feel comfortable and cared for. Trinity has a strong family spirit; it is a place where young people are nurtured and valued. When difficulties arise we seek to resolve them quickly and in an affirming way. Individual support by specialist staff builds confidence and self-esteem. Leadership Trinity seeks to help form young women and men who are good Christians and good citizens. Students are encouraged to exercise their leadership capacities so that they can develop a strong sense of responsibility and social engagement. In this way they also acquire the confidence required to succeed both at school and beyond. Communication Effective communication between home and school is imperative. Students needs are best met when parents and staff feel free to express to one another their hopes, concerns and ideas. Various means of communication are available, ranging from the use of students College Planner to direct interviews. Parent participation and involvement is welcomed and valued. 7

In Word and Deed Trinity is a faith community shaped by the spirit of the Religious Orders who founded the College the Presentation Sisters and the Marist Brothers. Values such as Respect, Honesty, Love, Forgiveness and the Dignity of each student are integral to the Trinity ethos, lived out through the experience of belonging to a warm and accepting community. The celebration of our faith is an important part of College life. All students participate in meditation, prayer and liturgy as part of the spiritual and faith formation. Trinity provides a Christian education, in the Catholic tradition, through a well structured Religious Education Programme supported by Retreats and Reflection Days. Youth Ministry, Cultural Immersions and Community Service are an integral part of Trinity life.
