Great job Wildcats!

Cheerleading/Student Fans: Thanks to our cheerleaders and our super fans for always being there for our teams! Great job, Wildcats! Photos by Alanna Ampil and Jared Rigdon.

Cross Country: The XC teams participated in the 28 team Ben Davis Invitational over the weekend. The boys and girls both placed in the top 10, finishing in 6 th position. Nick Petroy, Matt Reid, Maddie Loughery, and Grace Dean all received individual honors. The teams will be participating in the Yorktown and Decatur Central Invitationals on Saturday.

Football: The Wildcats (2-2, 0-2 MIC) went on the road to play North Central (3-1, 1-1 MIC) on Friday night. The Cats lost, 21-7. The team drove inside the Panther red zone three times but couldn t come away with any points. Harold Jones, Maliq Carr, and Terrance Mallory led the defense. Derin McCulley threw a 41-yard TD pass to M.J. Stanley for the only LN score. The team also has been hit with the injury bug, losing key members of both the offensive and defensive units. Next man up will be the theme, as the Cats go into this Friday s game against Carmel (2-2, 1-1 MIC) wanting to keep the Bill Duke Pigskin Trophy they won last year. This will be the WHMB TV-40 Game of the Week! Go Cats!!

Girls Golf: The LN golfers placed 9 th at the Marion County Championships, hosted by LN at The Fort Golf Course on Monday. The team was paced by Caroline Salvas, Grace Rowland, Hannah Chenevert, and Ann Ramsey. They finished the week on Saturday in the Franklin Central Invitational, with Caroline Salvas leading the team by shooting an 88.

Boys Soccer: The soccer team (2-5-2, 0-4-1 MIC) lost to conference foes Carmel and Pike, then played in the Great Midwest Classic on Saturday. The team went 1-1, losing to Brownsburg and beat McCutchon, 2-1. Tony Rodriquez and Edwin Obispo scored goals for the Cats in the win against McCutchon. The Wildcats host township and MIC rival Lawrence Central on Tuesday, and then another MIC battle with Center Grove on Thursday.

Girls Soccer: The girls team (3-5-3, 3-1-1 MIC) went 1-1-1 this week, losing to Carmel, beating Pike, and tying Heritage Christian. They will be in MIC action this week, taking on the LC Bears on Monday for a critical MIC showdown, and then right back at it in conference play with a game against Center Grove on Wednesday. Both games are at home. Pictures courtesy of LN Sports Photographer Jared Rigdon.

Boys Tennis: The tennis team swept their opponents this week in convincing fashion to improve their record to 5-5. Senior Cade Satz led the way by defeating his opponents and only losing two games total in three matches. This is a big week for the Wildcats, as the will host Westfield and then will compete in the MIC championships at the end of the week.

Volleyball: The volleyball team (7-7, 3-0 MIC) lost to state ranked Fishers, beat Warren Central in a MIC contest, and then lost at Cathedral. The Cats play two top teams this week at home; New Castle comes to town on Monday night and then the Carmel Greyhounds visit LN on Tuesday. Tuesday s game is spirit night and a black out.
