What we stand for? OTOAI is a national, not-for-profit organisation comprising India s outbound tour operators & travel agents, NTO s, international airlines, overseas hotels & DMC s, overseas attractions, cruise companies et al as its members. OTOAI is dedicated to developing and promoting the highest ethical and professional standards in the travel and tourism industry in India.

OTOAI Goals OTOAI aims to foster an environment of collaboration with and between various stakeholders through a collective ideology of best practices, sharing of information and mediation where necessary. OTOAI aspires to be the leading voice on national and global issues of outbound travel, tourism and the hospitality industry; while propagating fair practices, market efficiency, and customer benefits.

OTOAI Connecting the outbound dots

Why, OTOAI? To represent in a focused manner, the niche segment of Outbound Tour Operators and outbound partners. To foster networking, partnership, collaboration and cooperation between different stakeholders. To take up issues concerning the outbound industry with trade and government fora. To enhance the profile of the outbound tourism industry in India along with encouraging the growth dynamics of outbound tourism.

OTOAI Remit To introduce ethics and professional conduct in the Indian outbound industry. To provide a forum for arbitration between the outbound tour operators and other stakeholders, particularly overseas suppliers. To negotiate with regulators and create a strong lobby for protecting the interests of the outbound tour operators in India.

Mission and Vision Statement

OTOAI Vision To be the industry leader of the outbound segment of the travel industry in India by setting the highest standards of ethics and professional excellence. To propagate an ideology of best practices, sustainable collective ambition of selling quality travel through effective representation, shared knowledge and collaboration with stakeholders.

Mission Statement To ensure a retail travel marketplace that is profitable, growth oriented and a rewarding place to work, invest and do business in. To seek recognition of travel management as a profession with an identified and appreciable pool of knowledge; as well as, a well established and practiced code of ethics and high standards of professional conduct.
