I am a graduate of Tuscola and a proud resident of Haywood County. My wife, Trista, and I live out near the old Fines Creek School. I have a degree from UNC-Wilmington in Conservation Biology and was a teacher at a small private school in Black Mountain prior to joining on with the Cooperative Extension. I am honored and excited to become a part of a great community of 4-Her s and I am ready to jump right in. I have already met a number of Leaders, Volunteers and Members, and look forward to meeting everyone who has made, and will continue to make, Haywood County 4-H the best it can be. We could not do it without YOU! I have a number of ideas for the future and would like to hear all of yours. Please call the office, or better yet come by and say Hey, so I can put a face with a name as I meet each one of you. In the next couple of months, it is my goal to attend the various club meetings and activities that we have coming up so I can see what each program does. Look forward to the new and improved newsletter we hope to have out in the next couple of months as well as exciting clubs and activities. I value each of you and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns and/or new ideas for both classes and clubs. Keep an eye out and an ear open for buzz about a pottery class, soon. My wife is a full-time potter here in the county and is also excited to volunteer with 4-H. Thank you for all you do for 4-H and if I haven t already, I look forward to meeting you soon! Sincerely, Nick Thanks to Everyone who helped make our Achievement Banquet a success. We are so proud of each and every Haywood County 4-Her for all of their hard work and dedication to making the best, better.
