Assembly was lengthy as we celebrated all kinds of successes. We also farewelled Mr Gedye as he leaves us today. Both he and Katie have done so much for boarding at Moor Park and there was a lovely reaction from the children. We wish him well and hope he stays in touch. In other news, we have appointed a super new Classics teacher to replace Mr Hodgkinson. The paperwork is not in place as yet so I will give more details next term but we were very pleased with the strength of the field of candidates and are delighted by the appointment. Well done to Ottilie Salwey for being awarded a General Scholarship to Oundle. This is a very prestigious and sought after award to a top school. Academic ability, leadership, team work and all-round contribution to school life are all part of the process and she should be very proud of herself. I hope that you all enjoy a restful Easter with your families and look forward to seeing everyone again in April. Charlie Minogue 1

Week 10 23 March 2018 TICK TOCK This week we have been doing lots of Easter crafts- we especially enjoyed making the chocolate Easter nests. We have been out in the grounds spotting daffodils and snowdrops and trying to finding the chocolate eggs left by the Easter bunny! Dates for your Diary Tick Tock Easter holidays: Monday 26th March- Tuesday 3rd April. We return Wednesday 4th April. Wishing you all a lovely Easter break. Kindergarten Uniform Survey The Kindergarten uniform survey is now complete. Valid points were raised both for and against making the changes and I was grateful to all parents who took the time to voice their thoughts. The feedback received was 93% in favour of making the coat and other outdoor wear optional and 87% in favour of moving to the unisex winter uniform of jogging bottoms. We believe this gives us a strong mandate to move ahead with these changes from September 2018 but parents are welcome to continue to choose the current winter uniform next year if they wish. Please do let me know if you have any questions, and thank you once again for the feedback.
