In Term 1, Year 2 have been learning about Jesus Helps Us To Love. They have created Baptist posters shared with their class. Year 2 have looked at scripture stories such as the 10 Lepers and the Good Samaritan looking at what Jesus has taught us about love and life.
Last Friday Year 5 participated in the Hills Shire Council sponsored Environmentors Program. We participated in many activities and learnt many new things. A lady named Emma also taught us things about composting and what to put into to it and what not to. We learnt that we couldn t put meat or dairy into the compost bin because the worms can t eat it. We also learnt about how we could fix problems in our compost bin like when it was too dry we needed to put Green Materials into it and when it was too wet we needed to add some Brown Materials. We played a game where we got a card and we had to collect brown and green materials and put them in the correct places. We were all very happy that we got to stick things on the board and learn new things. All of Year 5 had so much fun and we are very glad that we got the opportunity to do this and we thank the teachers for organising it for us.
