TESTIMONIALS Family can be defined in many ways and it is different things to different people. But in Mount Zion family is what makes us unique. It is what makes us strong. It is not flesh and blood but the heart which makes us family in Mount Zion. Our schools continue to provide HOPE (Help, Opportunities, Preparation, and Encouragement) to generations of Eagles. Small town Big Opportunities. Big Dreams.. Eagles Rise Up! Being a teacher to a Mount Zion Eagle is not a one year commitment to a child s educational needs, but an opportunity to see them continuously grow and become premier students and leaders for the Mount Zion community. It is a pleasure to work in a community where learning comes first, school leaders expect the very best, and continuous school improvements lead to proven results. -Ginny Edwards, 5th Grade Math Teacher Mount Zion Elementary Mount Zion might be the smallest cluster, but we are by far the biggest family in Carroll County. All three schools and the community work in concert to raise our children- teaching them not just academics, but how to succeed and thrive in life. There s truly no better place to raise a family. -Nikki Purvis, Mount Zion Parent and Volunteer As a teacher, we have an instinctive power to change lives. Each encounter with a student is significant and has the potential to shape the future of our world. As such, the decision to embark on this journey was an easy choice. I am fortunate that I am able to teach in a great community the City of Mount Zion. Mount Zion Middle School is not only a great place to work, it has a special place in my heart as I, my husband, and all three of my children have graced the hallways of Mount Zion Schools. As a parent, I am confident that my children have received a first-rate education and would highly recommend Carroll County Schools and, specifically, Mount Zion Schools to others. It is always a GREAT day to be a Mount Zion Eagle! -Tewanna Brown-Alumni, Teacher, and Parent, Mount Zion Schools 12

Vision Carroll County Schools will be recognized as a premier school district. Mission Carroll County Schools develops globally competitive college and career graduates. There are so many activities to choose from at MZHS. I enjoy the small class size, too. My teachers can take the time to make sure I understand the concepts and that I am progressing as a student. Sarah Collins, Mount Zion High School MZMS has a family environment. My teachers help me when I struggle, and they want me to succeed. Garrett Gordon, Mount Zion Middle School I love my school, because the teachers are great! My favorite thing about MZES is that I get to be involved in so many activities like STEM Club, Academic Bowl, Junior Beta and the Principal s Club. Elizabeth Becerra, Mount Zion Elementary School
