Monthly Report Of July'2015 Colour Theme: "Go Green" S/No. Day & Date PHOTOGRAPHS Name and details of activity 1. 1/7/15 Wednesday Welcome party Special assembly was held for all the classes from Pre- Nursery to Class I. The day began with worshiping the God Almighty through 'Guru Vandana' followed by a welcome song for all the students. This was followed by an interaction about

vacations with all children. We also had rhyme recitation by students of class Prep & I. The day culminated with the slogan HIP-HIP HURRAY and the distribution of sweets to all the students which was greatly loved by all the toddlers. 2. 6/7/15 Monday Van Mahotsava celebration Come July and we celebrated the major event of the month i.e. Van Mahotsava celebration or forest day celebration. The day commenced with the welcome of our parents who were invited for this grand and noble cause. We began with the plantation ceremony. This was carried out first by all the class representatives & the guest parents, followed by representatives of different communities of the society attached

with the school, e.g. The teaching staff, the admin staff, the supporting & technical staff, the drivers and even the baijees & cleaning staff. The day culminated with the felicitation of the most important person on this occasion i.e. the school gardener Mr. Ratan. He was awarded with a certificate of appreciation from the school along with a cash prize for him as well as his helping team. 3. 7/7/15 Tuesday Rally for "GO GREEN" In continuation with the celebration of Van Mahotsava going on in our school, the students and the teachers of DPS - PPS took out a peaceful rally to create awareness among the people about planting trees & saving earth. The tiny - tots marched on smartly to all the neighbouring areas

saying aloud slogans of 'GO GREEN' 'SAVE TREES", "EACH ONE- PLANT ONE" ETC. The students also gifted saplings to all major institutions of the neighbourhood. e.g. policestation, hospital, hotel, shops etc. With this we concluded this Van Mahotsava - Go Green July'2015 celebration. 5. 15/7/15 Wednesday Colouring competition (Pre- Nursery & Nursery) This day saw a whole hearted participation from all the students of Pre-nursery and Nursery. It was a funfilled competitive activity for the little tiny-tots.

6. 17/7/15 Friday EID - Celebration Today in DPS - Pre - Primary wing, we celebrated 'Eid" with great pomp -n- show. We had an interesting cultural show put-up by the students & teachers together, which was attended by all classes from Pre-nursery to Nursery. There was a short skit presentation by the teachers. Next, we had a beautiful dance sequence on the number 'Eid-mubarak' by the students of class I. It was overall a fun-filled educative & entertaining cultural show which was not only thoroughly enjoyed by one & all but also spread the message of religious harmony among all children.

7. 20/7/15 Monday 8. 24/7/15 Friday Inter class group rhyme competition For class Prep Theme : 'Go Green' Group activities are the best mode to let even those little buds bloom that are shy and have mike - fear. Hence today we had our Inter class Group Rhyme Competition for the students of Prep. The rhymes picked up all the classes covered interesting concepts too like numbers, veggies & nature. This proved to be quite educative too. Everyone was equally applauded & motivated for their hard work & presentation skills. The best part was that there was 100% participation in each section & even the most - shy student spoke aloud with great enthusiasm. Mango party DPS - Pre - Primary Wing today celebrated Mango party & Yellow Day. All the students had come smartly in flashing & attractive yellow

9. 27/7/15 Monday colour dresses & looked ravishing. They had also brought sliced mangoes and its various delicacies as told beforehand in their Tiffins. The programme began with the welcome of all students by the Mango - King & Mango Queen which was depicted by our tiny tots from class - I. The school also had a special assembly for the Mango - Day Celebration wherein there was variety of information & rhymes by the teachers & students respectively. Finally, all students went back to their classes where they got the opportunity to colour the Mango - fruit. The children had loads of fun in this activity and we look forward to more such endeavours. Inter class skit competition For class I Theme : 'Go Green' On this day, we had our Inter-Class skit competition for Class I. Keeping in sync with the ongoing Vanmahotsava celebrations ; the

theme for today s competition was also none other than Go Green. The competition began with class I A whose theme was Save Trees. The students enacted a beautiful and touching story of how a woodcutter realized his mistake of cutting trees, when he himself felt the need of one. The next skit was an excellent act put up by the students of class I B whose theme was Global Warming. Finally, the next skit was presented by class I C whose theme was Go Green Save Mother Earth. The competition was judged by Ms. Tarang Sharma I/C PPS and Ms. Yadwinder Kaur Teacher Spoken Eng. & Phonetics. It was really tough to decide the winners. However, with a very little margin between the competitors, Class I B was declared the winner of the contest. Class I A stood IInd and I C came IIIrd.

10. 31/7/15 Friday The program ended with the distribution of congratulation cards to the proud winners which were received with great enthusiasm and applause. "Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu, Gurur devo Maheshvarah, Gurur sakshat param Brahma, tasmai shree Guruveh namah" DPS - Pre - Primary Wing today celebrated Guru Purnima & also held Show and tell competition for class Prep & I. The programme began with the welcome Speech by Ms. Ranjana Gogna on the "Importance of a Guru in our life"to all the students. There was also a prayer on "Guru Purnima" by the students of class I which was really mesmerizing. Following this, we had started the second activity of the day, which was "Show and tell competition" of both the classes Prep and I. The competition saw 100% participation & great enthusiasm among

all students. The children had loads of fun in this activity and we look forward to more such endeavors.
