WE ARE NOW KARATE CHAMPION The 1 st National Genseiryu & 1 st National Ju-Jitsu Champs 16 was held on 4 & 5 th August in Shahid Sharawardy Indoor Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka. The Chief Guest was District Governor Ln M.K Bashar while presided Mr. Golam Faruk Khandakar Prince MP and special guest from Japan Yashito Suzuki who conducted the champs and Special guest were Ln. Nadira Ahsan and H. Z Moni, GS. BMACF at the prize giving ceremony. General Secretary of BJJA Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Newton attended the program. Our team became champion getting 4 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals. Gold medalists were Sojib Hasan (Class 6), Sumiya Akter (Class 5), Akhi Rani Das (Class 6) and Bappy Khan (Class 8). More than 6 TV channels telecasted live news. These students were selected for an international competition which will be held in India next December. We are hopeful for their success. The National Champion Team ANNUAL GEN COMPETITION On 14 th August, Jamgara School arranged Annual Gen Competition. In this program, students of primary section participated in different competitions like handwriting, story writing, general knowledge, game show, movie show. High School students also participated
in different competitions like general knowledge, handwriting, story writing, movie show, debating and sudden speech. Students of class eight won the debating competition. It was a day long program. All the teachers contributed in the program to make it successful. Winners had received their gifts and it was a great joy for the students. Debate Competition PROCESSION AGAINST TERRORISM & EMERGENCY EVACUATION DRILL On 13 th August, Jamgara School arranged a procession against terrorism, which was a short awareness program throughout the whole nation. Our school prepared festoon and banner against terrorism as per Government instruction. We made a rally in front of the school holding the festoon
from 10:00 am to 10:30 am. After the program, we arranged a drill for emergency evacuation. After getting the emergency siren, all the 130 students of high school came out from their class rooms and assembled in the field in line. Then they went out from the school campus through the emergency exit door. At the end, all the staffs also came out from the school. Total evacuation took 190 seconds. CLASS TEST From 22 to 31 August, students of Jamgora School sat for their first class test of final term. Total 235 students appeared in the exam successfully. Students of class five and eight are also getting ready for their PSC and JSC examination (government exam) which will be held on November. Their model test will start from next month. So, students are very busy with studies. Success Story Motallib is now self-dependent Abdul Motallib came from Rajshahi to Jamgora on 2004. His father is a village doctor and mother is house wife. From his childhood, he was interested and willing to learn computer, but he did not get any opportunity to learn computer from any good training center. In 2013, he completed the Secondary School Certificate examination and then he decided to learn computer. He came to know about HOPE computer training center from his friend. At first, he has learnt Computer Basic Course, then Computer Hardware Course, Graphics Design Course, Web Development Course and Out Sourcing Course successfully.
By getting all these training, he has learnt computer very well. Now he is confident to do anything with computer. At firsts he served in HOPE training center as a volunteer trainer for Computer center. Then he got a job in a high school as a computer teacher. Then he joined in a outsourcing firm as a graphics designer. He earns 14000 Taka (USD 179.5) in a month. He could fulfill his dream by getting training from HOPE training center. Now he is confident and self-depended.
