About Our Institution CASS Europe is an innovative, internationally-oriented business school in Luxembourg. We also have a campus in Brussels, Belgium, a study center in Abidjan, Côte d Ivoire and international offices in Paris and Hong Kong. Our undergraduate programs are organized within the CASS School of Business Studies (SBS) and postgraduate programs at the CASS Graduate School of International Management (GSIM). CASS Europe collaborates with a number of partner universities in Europe and across the globe (see list under Academic Partners page) who contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs (i.e. BBA, MBA, DBA, and PhD) through course delivery and supervision of thesis projects. Thanks to these collaborative arrangements (which include European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits) students who have successfully completed a program of study at our school will have the possibility of earning a qualification from one of these universities in addition to the award delivered by CASS Europe. Academic Council The CASS Europe Academic Council is made up of noted individuals drawn from scholarly institutions and industry in Europe and internationally. The Council is an advisory organ to our institution in all matters of an academic and scientific nature. It is headed by a Chairman and its current members are as follows: Prof. David E. The CASS Europe BBA Program Program objective The CASS Europe BBA program aims to develop the student s intellectual ability as well as managerial skills in a way that prepares him/her for Master s level studies in business administration and management. Successful completion of the program will further enable students to assume positions of responsibility in private enterprises and/or public sector organizations at both the national and international levels. This academically oriented program is conducted in close collaboration with university partners in Europe. CASS Europe partner universities provide input to the program through teaching and, in some cases, supervision of BBA thesis projects. The BBA degree is awarded by CASS Europe. Moreover, through these collaborative arrangements (which include European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits), participants have the possibility of earning a dual qualification to be delivered by one of our partner university on successful completion of all the requirements of the BBA program. The program is designed with an international and multi-cultural perspective in mind. The working language is English and it aims to draw participants from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds across the globe. Successful completion of the program requires three years of fulltime study comprising 180 ECTS credits. Each semester s study amounts to 30 ECTS credits. A description of the admission requirements, program structure and curriculum as well faculty teaching on the program is provided below. Admission Requirements To be admitted to the program applicants must fulfill the following requirements: Hold an appropriate higher school leaving certificate (e.g. Baccalaureate, A levels school leaving certificate, or equivalent qualification) Demonstrate an appropriate level (i.e. oral and written) of the English language (e.g. TOEFL with a minimum score of 550, TOEIC, IELTS 6.0 or above, etc.). Applicants with a two-year qualification in business studies (or related fields) from a recognized higher education institution will be considered for direct admission to the third and final year of the program Program Structure In order to be awarded the BBA degree students must meet the following requirements: Successfully complete all the required first, second and third year courses Choose one area of concentration (in the 2nd semester of the 3rd year of program) and complete all the required and elective courses Submit and orally defend the BBA project report. The CASS Europe MBA Program Program objective With the increasing globalization of markets coupled with the revolution in information and communication technology (ICT) more and more companies are becoming acutely aware of the importance of efficient management of change as the basis for competitive advantage in the global marketplace. The CASS Europe MBA is a rigorous academic program of study aimed at preparing graduates who will assume positions of responsibility at both the middle and upper management levels in business enterprises and other organizations. CASS Europe partner universities provide input to the program through teaching and, in some cases, supervision of master s thesis projects. The MBA is awarded by CASS Europe. Moreover, through these collaborative arrangements (which include European Credit transfer (ECTS) credits) participants have the possibility of earning a dual qualification to be delivered by one of the partner universities on successful completion of all the requirements of the MBA program. Duration for completing the program is one academic year (two semesters) for qualified applicants with a four-year Bachelor s degree from a recognized higher education institution. Qualified applicants with a three-year Bachelor s degree (or equivalent qualification) from a recognized higher education institutions will be admitted to the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management (PDBM). Following successful completion of the PDBM students may choose to either proceed to the MBA program (one year) or graduate with solely the PDBM qualification. Successful completion of the PDBM and MBA programs require 120 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits (i.e. 60 ECTS credits for the PDBM and 60 ECTS credits for the MBA). Each semester of study amounts to 30 ECTS credits. Participants who have successfully completed all the requirements of the program will be provided the possibility of earning a dual qualification from CASS Europe and one of its partner universities. For non-native speakers we require acceptable levels of language tests such as TOEFL (minimum 550), IELTS (6.0 or above) or equivalent tests. The CASS Europe MBA in Healthcare Management MMgtProProgramanagementProgram Program objective Significant changes have taken place in the healthcare systems in both developed and developing countries during the past few years. The need to train highly skilled healthcare professionals with cutting-edge managerial abilities and know-how has never been greater. The CASS Europe MBA program in healthcare management will prepare participants for the challenges in this ever evolving profession. The program provides participants with the skills, training and practical application in achieving the delicate balance of healthcare and management that is of the essence in this ever evolving profession. Medical University of Varna (MUV), Bulgaria provides input to the program through course delivery and, in some cases, supervision of MBA thesis projects. The MBA in Healthcare Management is awarded by CASS Europe. Duration for completing the program is one academic year (two semesters) for qualified applicants with a four-year Bachelor s degree from a recognized higher education institution. Applicants with a threeyear Bachelor s degree (or equivalent qualification) from a recognized higher education institutions will be required to successfully complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management (PDBM) before being allowed to proceed to the MBA in Healthcare Management program. Doctor of Business Administration Program Objectives The CASS Europe DBA is a rigorous academic program which, at the same time, has a strong managerial relevance. It is a practical and research-based doctorate degree program designed for older candidates with significant professional work experience who have already completed the MBA (or equivalent qualification) and are looking to further enhance their practical and theoretical knowledge base in any area of management. Students will be asked to choose a topic related to their current area of responsibility in an organization or an area they wish to focus upon in their career path. These must, however, be in line with the areas of research capacity at CASS which presently include the following: International Business Management Global Finance Accounting Business Strategy Innovation and Change Management Marketing Managerial Economics Supply Chain Management Healthcare Management Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Management The aim of this three-year program is to develop highly competent top-level executives with managerial and applied research capability who will confidently lead their organizations in the highly competitive global market environment. Partner universities of our school provide input to the program through teaching and, in some cases, supervision of DBA theses projects. Moreover, through these collaborative arrangements program participants have the possibility of earning a qualification from one of the partner universities in addition to the DBA which is awarded by CASS Europe. Admission Requirements In order to qualify for admission to the CASS Europe DBA program applicants must hold one of the following qualifications: MBA (or equivalent qualification) from a recognized higher education institution. A Master s degree in management (or associated discipline) with a minimum of 2 years professional work experience. A Masters degree in a field other than management (or related discipline) but with at least 5 years of professional work experience minimum. English language requirements As English is the working language of the CASS Europe DBA program candidates are required to demonstrate fluency (written and oral) in the language. Applicants who are not native English speakers are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL, score of 550 and above), IELTS (score 6.5 and above), or other equivalent English language tests unless they hold a university level degree taught in the language. 15

Unit 4 : Research Workshops 20 3rd Year Unit 3: Specialized Methodology Seminars Human Resources Management 20 Unit 4 : Research Workshops Unit 5 : DBA Thesis 20 The CASS Europe Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programs in: Business Administration Healthcare Management Objective of the programs CASS Europe offers two Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs in Business Administration and Healthcare Management respectively. The objective of these three-year programs is to train highly competent academics and researchers in the indicated disciplines. The programs place significant emphasis on research that must meet the highest level of scientific rigor. Partner universities of CASS Europe provide input to the program through course delivery and supervision of PhD theses. The PhD is awarded by CASS Europe. Admission Requirements To be considered for admission to these programs applicants must fulfill the following requirements: Have a research Master s degree in an area of Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related fields; or Have another Master s degree in the indicated areas with a strong research orientation; Have a very good oral and written command of the English language. For applicants who are not native speakers of English (or have completed a higher education program taught in the language), we require proof of one of the following English language tests: TOEFL (minimum 550), TOEIC, IELTS (minimum 6.5) or other similar tests; A PhD thesis proposal of up to 15 pages Two letters of recommendation A completed and signed application form. Structure of the programs The structure of the programs is as follows: Stage 1: Fundamentals of Academic Research Courses Stage 2: Specialized Courses and Research Workshops in Business Administration and Healthcare Management Stage 3: PhD Thesis Curriculum of the programs The Course component of the curriculum consists of the following: Fundamentals of Academic Research Courses Specialized Courses in Business Administration and Healthcare Management Research Workshops in Business Administration and Healthcare Management These courses and research workshops are organized for the most part during the first and second year of the program. The objective being to give participants the necessary academic base that will allow them to prepare a scientifically rigorous PhD thesis in either Business Administration or Healthcare Management. Through the even distribution of courses and research workshops faculty members are able to follow the work of students more closely and to monitor progress regularly. The second component of the program refers primarily to the conduct of research leading to the PhD thesis which shall be presented orally and defended before a panel of experts drawn from the faculty of CASS Europe, faculty of partner universities, and two external assessors of the thesis selected from the European and international academic community. 17
