Rev. Tom Rafferty Pastor Reneé B. Nunez Principal Susan Leddy Assistant Principal Kendall Shamas Dean of Middle School & Auxiliary St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School Est. 2001 January 7, 2015 Dear School Families, Happy 2015! We hope everyone enjoyed the holidays with family and friends. We look forward to the spring semester and the blessings it will bring. We hope everyone is settling back into the routine after Christmas break. That makes for a great start to the New Year. We welcome back Mrs. Nevlud from maternity leave. Her middle school team and students were glad to have her back. We also want to welcome the Fedele (PreK3) family. They joined our school family this week. Please join us in making them feel at home here at SAOP. We also want to congratulate Mrs. Leslie for completing her Master s Degree in Administration and Leadership through the University of St. Thomas in December. December was a busy month! We thank all of our parent volunteers who coordinated or helped with December activities. Special thanks to PTO for the great St. Nick s Market, gift wrapping for the staff & an awesome staff Christmas Lunch. We extend warm thanks to all who shared gifts and wishes with our staff during the holiday season. We were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity. January brings our geography and spelling bees along with our annual celebration of National Catholic Schools Week. The office staff is preparing for 2015-2016 registration and getting planning underway for next school year. The start of a new year brings the opportunity to start fresh, to make resolutions that make us better people and to live out our call to be Disciples of Christ. The faculty and staff began with a full-day of meetings, work on our accreditation self-study and preparation for the New Year on Monday. It was great to have everyone back with us on Tuesday. We wish your family God s blessings for 2015. Don t forget to mark your calendars for January activities and events. Sincerely in Christ, Reneé B. Nunez Susan Leddy Kendall Shamas Principal Assistant Principal, PreK-5 th Dean of Middle School VISION STATEMENT The vision of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School is to guide the mind, body, and spirit of the next generation of Catholic leaders to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet their full potential as people created in the image of God.
