ACT All juniors will be taking the ACT at the high school on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018. The test will be given during the school day There is no charge for the exam There will not be a make-up test day.

Looking Ahead Senior Registration

What do colleges look at? Colleges will consider GPA Courses taken rigor of course selection Test Scores (ACT and/or SAT) Activities and experience Be thinking about your skills and interests and your options after high school!

English Seniors must take a total of 3 English credits. English 12 or College-Prep Comp + 2 English electives AP Language and Composition (year-long)

Social Studies Seniors must take either a semester of American Government and a semester of Economics or AP Government or AP Economics.

Science A full year of chemistry or physics is required for graduation Chemistry Chemistry (general) Chemistry Honors Chemistry S2S Chemistry Concepts Physics Physics (general) Physics Honors Physics S2S Physics Concepts

Math Seniors are not required to take math, but many colleges want to see that students have taken a full four years of math.

Fine Arts Students need a total of 3 fine art credits in order to graduate. Some English, FACS, IT, Business and Music classes offer fine art credit.

Health and Phy Ed You must have a total of 1.5 Health credits and 1.5 Phy Ed credits Health 9 (freshman year) Phy Ed (freshman year) + 1 additional health and 1 phy ed class between 10th-12th-grade year

Advanced Placement (AP) Advanced Placement courses are college level courses. Most students who enroll in AP courses choose to take the AP exam in May. Colleges may grant college credit based on your AP exam score.

Registration Dates Counselors will be in 11th grade English classes on Wednesday, February 7th. Students will be using their ipads to register for classes, so make sure your ipad is charged and ready to go! **Make sure to bring your signed & completed registration template on February 7th!**
