Pre School Transition STARS! Last week, was our last storytime for 2017. Two of our Grade 1 students were guest readers and read to our kindergarten children. Lexi read K is For Kissing a Cool Kangaroo and Cooper was there to assist and support along with Charli in Grade 5. The kinder students had a great time and particularly loved the playground time. Our next transition events are in Term 4 with our Orientation sessions running through November. If you do not have a copy of our Pre-School Transition program, please email us or contact us by phone and we can organise a copy for you. You can also look on our website for this information and click on DOWNLOADS and go to INFO BOOKS. Enrolments 2018 If you haven t enrolled your child for Foundation in 2018, please do so as soon as possible. We are starting to plan for 2018 school year and it s vital to know our enrolments. If you know of anyone that is going to enrol, please encourage them to do so. We would like all enrolments by mid October for 2018. Similarly, if you are moving house and leaving our school, could you advise us by the end of this term. This would help us immensely with our staffing and planning for next year. Occupational Health and Safety Procedures You may have heard your child talking about practice drills we have had. Each term we practice, on site evacuation, lock down, lock out and off site evacuations in case of emergency. This is part of our Occupational Health and Safety program and goes hand in hand with our Emergency Management Plans. The staff regularly discuss these procedures prior to occurring to prepare students in the case of a real emergency. In regards to safety and supervision, it is important for families to know that there is a new Enterprise Bargain Agreement for staff. Part of this agreement is that the official commencement time for staff is 8.50am. The yard will be supervised from 8.50am each day as the agreement has already commenced and we are required to follow the award and cannot be in breach of this. After school supervision remains the same from 3.30-3.45pm. STOMP Tickets on SALE NOW! Tickets are now on sale for our STOMP Whole School Production - Heroes and Villains.
