ap courses for the purpose of college credit UC Advanced Placement Credit-UC grants credit for all AP tests on which a student scores 3 or higher. The credit toward graduation may get specific subject credit and/or credit toward general education/breadth requirements CSU Advanced Placement Credit-Students may earn up to six semester units of baccalaureate credit for each Advanced Placement exam on which the applicant receives a score of 3, 4, or 5.
We want to be clear that this is not a case of whoever has the most APs wins. WHAT A COURSE IS NAMED OR WHETHER IT CONCLUDES WITH A STANDARDIZED TEST IS CONSIDERABLY LESS IMPORTANT TO US THAN THE ENERGY A STUDENT CONTRIBUTES TO THE LEARNING PROCESS AND THE CURIOSITY WITH WHICH HE OR SHE INVESTIGATES QUESTIONS AND PURSUES IDEAS. -Stanford University
The Pitfalls What do I need to know to successfully navigate the H/AP Program at Vista?
Potential scheduling issues for honors/ap courses Why didn t I get the honors/ap course of my choice? There were more students who requested the course than seats in the class. Can request to be put on wait list. Must submit form in May. Obligated to do summer work without knowing if you get the course. NOTE: 34 students were added to honors/ap course this year from the wait lists. Two of the courses requested are at the same time. Alternate choices are imperative. More AP courses requested, the harder to schedule.
