Experience english with NCG english courses for juniors 2018

Welcome We know that you can t start early enough in life when it comes to learning English. At New College Group, our philosophy revolves around one thing: making sure that students from all over the world learn English - and have a great time whilst they learn! Our English programmes for Juniors are available both in summer as well as year-round, and consist of great interactive lessons, lively social activities and fun excursions. Your child won t just learn English - they ll make friends, enjoy themselves, and have the experience of a lifetime. accreditations & memberships All NCG summer schools are accredited for the teaching of English. Our NCG schools are accredited by the most important associations in the UK and Ireland and are members of leading organisations in the English Language teaching field. The NCG method At NCG, we aim to provide high quality English education to students - regardless of their age or individual learning needs. Our teaching revolves around the student. Our lessons and social programmes are fully designed to make sure that your child has the skills they need to be a succesful learner. We provide a wide range of study materials, and make sure that class exercises are fun and entertaining. On top of that, our fun social programme is designed to support our lesson plan by giving students more exposure to the English language, as well as British or Irish culture. We know every child is unique and through our experience with children from all over the world, we understand different learning styles and cultures. For this reason, our method is student-led. It s the NCG Method. Teachers and activity leaders We know that teachers and activity leaders make up an important part of your Juniors programme. For that reason, we look for the best - and our teachers and activity leaders are helpful and friendly. All of our teachers and activity leaders go through thorough background checks, to make sure that they are able to work with children. Our teachers are fully certified to teach the English language. Most importantly our teachers have one goal in mind: to develop you into a confident speaker of English. 3

Your child's welfare is our top priority welfare We understand that your child s welfare is your primary concern. At NCG, we are happy to reassure you that we feel the same. Our Junior programmes are designed to be safe. Our Summer School programmes are held in secure locations, and we ensure child safety at all times. In our Juniors Year Round programmes, students aged 12 to 15 are only ever taught in closed groups in our secure NCG schools. We operate a colour-coded lanyard system so that staff, visitors, students over 18 and students under 18 can be identified at the blink of an eye. Social activities and excursions will always be led by a teacher or a member of staff, and upcoming social activities and excursions are displayed on notice boards so that students are aware of upcoming activities they can join. Student welfare We have student welfare teams who are available for students to chat to about any problems. From academic issues to personal problems staff will be happy to help. We encourage students to speak English at all times whilst they are at the college. However, if a student needs to speak to someone in their native language, we will likely have a member of staff who can assist. 4

ACCOMMODATION and FOOD Our destinations for Juniors have a range of accommodation options available to students. Depending on the location chosen, students can choose to live with a local family; share a bedroom with others in secure halls of residence, or live on campus at a university or boarding school. No matter what programme or destination is chosen, we aim to provide high quality, healthy and tasty food and cater for special dietary requirements. Depending on the location chosen, students will either have their choice of meals in a canteen, or will enjoy meals with their host family. 6
