Step 1: Understand Yourself Before we proceed further into the business, we should start by understand yourself. In Network Marketing, every business leaders comes to the business for him/herself. They have different purposes, missions and visions towards their future. Eventually, the factor that keeps them in the business for a long period of time and earning massive income is their clear direction in life. Start the business by first finding your path. Use this worksheet to discuss between you and your sponsor. Why are you coming into this business? What are your dreams & goals? Include all your long term dreams, short term goals and your business goals (income, rank, bonus car and etc.) Creating your dream board - use a bigger cardboard to create your dream - Include the following aspects in your dream board: material dreams, self development dreams, and contribution dreams Page 1

Step 2: Getting Commitment and Setting time priority How much time are you willing to commit each week to reach your goals and dreams? How you manage your time will significantly determine how successful your business will become. There are generally 2 types of activities that can be helpful for you to build your business: Investment activities & Income-producing activities. Investment activities don t necessarily brings you income immediately, but it is necessary for you to have a better and effective income-producing activities. The examples of investment activities are, prospecting, working on your social network, learning, attending events and seminars, administrative work, planning and etc. Income-producing activities will directly brings you potential income. For examples, invitation, presentation and sharing, follow-up and follow-through, sponsoring, mentoring and etc. Both investment and income producing activities are closely related to each other. How much you earn is based on how much income activities you did. At the same time, how well your income activities goes is based on how much investment activities you did. Use the schedule become to specify your current commitment and the time you want to devote for your business building. Step 3: Familiarise Business Structure and Products In this part, your upline leader will go through several things with you. Different company or organisation will have different style and method. Generally we will cover on these few aspects: 1. Setting up your business office: business bank account, phone line, social media platforms 2. Design and printing your business cards 3. Download or order promotional materials 4. Related literatures on products and business 5. Company resources 6. Company distributor website and online office site. 7. Step 4: Clearing doubts & Objections In this part, you can ask your upline sponsor any questions related to the business to clear your doubts. At the same time, you may also ask a few common objection that you anticipate to encounter. From here, you can gain some insight and experience from your leader about how to handle the objections Use the worksheet to jot down your questions and the suggested answers you can use to handle objections. New Business Leader Orientation Step 5: Creating your prospecting list Nothing will happen to your business unless you started to contact people, set up appointment and share the opportunity. Therefore, we should start identify people to contact by building your prospect list. Start from your existing network. Some organisations suggest to start with your 100 contacts, some suggest 200, 500 1000 or even more. That s entirely depend on you. One thing worth to take note is that, the more people you can contact the higher income making possibility you will have. Who should you put into your contact list? Literally everyone. It can range from the following: family friends neighbours Your doctor your tailor your real estate agent The hawker who always buy food from Your jogging buddies Your teacher The list can keep going. Step 6: Planning first event/ appointment/ home party Here we will go through the income-producing activity. Different organisation may use different method for event/ appointment/ home party. Typically, here are the flow to plan the event: 1. Getting all the necessary tools 2. Select time 3. Choose a venue 4. Getting support from your existing organisation 5. Step 7: Contact and invite In order to make your event a successful one, at least you need to have guest. This is the time to pick up your phone, logon to your facebook, and fire up your WhatsApp to start invite your prospective visitors to explore your business. Discuss with you leader, relate from their previous experience, and come out with some effective, workable and practical invitation scripts to guide you when you are on the phone.
