What current students have to say about their involvement in the IB Program: I.B. has pushed me above and beyond my "limits." I would have never thought I would accomplish some of the things I have if it wasn't for the program. I.B. reminds me everyday that I do have the potential to be the type of person I want to be. It has allowed me to see that a person is more than his/her grades; that behind every achievement, there is a strenuous effect made that makes a person who they are and makes it all worth it. (Julie Pena IB Class of 2017) I.B. is more than just a rigorous academic program, it also focuses on your character through a variety of other factors, such as community service, clubs, activities, projects, and creative tasks that help to make you a well- rounded individual. (Carson Clouse Class of 2020) IB is a way of setting yourself a little above the rest. You should take any advantage you have in high school to set yourself apart from everyone else and this provides you with that opportunity. (Shreeya Desai Class of 2017) The IB program gave me the opportunity to be challenged academically for the first time. I picked IB because I wanted to make a difference in my community and experience a change for the better. (Zachary Kashman Class of 2019) IB forces you to delve into opportunities you never imagined were present. The comprehensive framework develops your curiosity and takes that curiosity one step further with practical application of interests in IA's, EE's and an engaging classroom experience. (Daniela Barata Class of 2017) In all honesty, being involved in the IB program has changed my life for the better. While it has been challenging at times, being involved in this rigorous program has helped me learn how to manage my time better and has allowed me to learn more about myself. By always being challenged academically I have learned just how much I am capable of accomplishing. (Morgan Clouse Class of 2017) One of the best things about the program is how the curriculum incorporates so many different aspects to education other than strictly academics - the program works to push students out of their comfort zones, actively engage in their community, and become the best versions of themselves they can be in preparation for life outside of school. (Sara Ellis Class of 2019) IB is a program unlike any other. Yes, it prepares you for your future endeavors in college and in life. However, it also fosters friendships and bonds with students who are like-minded to yourself. (Jocelyn Arroyo Class of 2018) The reason why I choose I.B. is because I felt like I could be part of a family that would open doors for opportunities. It would not just help me improve academically, but physically and emotionally too. (Jazmyn Coronado Class of 2020) IB is special because you're in an environment where you're encouraged to learn and you get so much help during the process. All of the teachers are understanding and they have your best intentions. IB's curriculum is different because it doesn't teach you what to think but rather how to think, which is a skill that will go beyond high school and college. (Trisha Phan Class of 2020)
