Principal s Reminder 9/15/17 Bishop Requested Survey As you may know, Pope Francis has called for a Synod on Young Adults, Faith, and Vocational Discernment. As part of the synod he is looking for feedback from across the world. The Diocese of Greensburg has created an online survey for those aged 16-29 years old. We are asking those parents within this age bracket to please complete this survey or if you have children in this age bracket, please ask them to complete the survey. It can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2n5plh3 We would like to include your voices in what will eventually be forwarded on from our Diocese to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and then to the Vatican. Thank you for your help with this. Reminders Picture Day wear your uniform; 9/19 for PreK, 4-8; 9/20 for PreK, K-3, and Teachers Breakfast and Lunch We have lunch down to a science! Pizza was a huge success! Breakfast and lunch are available every day except first Fridays, but Lunch must be ordered at least the day before. Even if you are receiving a free or reduced lunch, you must make a selection of a regular meal or the alternative for a lunch to be available to you. If you order a lunch and choose to pack that day, you will be charged for the lunch you ordered. Breakfast is $1.50, and a hot lunch (alternatives available) is $3.25. Menus are available on the website. Snacks are also available for purchase. Students must finish their lunches BEFORE they can buy snacks (except water). Snack Prices: Chips Variety $1.00 Nutri Grain Bars $1.00 Rice Krispy Treats $1.00 Animal Crackers $.50 Small Water $.75 Free Samples were offered this week. The kiddos LOVED the Spicy BBQ Chicken and today s pizza. 8 th grade offered the samples. Thank you ladies! Love the hairnets. Power Lunch Accounts: Your child has a barcode, which we scan as s/he goes through the breakfast and/or lunch line. It will also be scanned if your child orders a lunch and then packs that day. The charges for those meals will be deducted from their Power Lunch accounts. As your account nears a low balance, you will receive a text/email from Power Lunch. Students with a low or no balance may not purchase snacks through the system. After School STEM ENRICHMENT Program Offered to any St. Sebastian student in grades 3-5, Monday through Thursday every week beginning in October, at Monessen Elementary.
