This will take place at Waterford High School at 6:30. Please come and support the staff! We held our Summer Reading Celebrations this week. Students in grades 3-5 were recognized at an assembly on Thursday and students in grades K-2 were recognized at an assemble held on Friday! We had over one hundred and twenty students participate this summer! Great job! We have two great events coming for parents and families. On Thursday, October 13 th, The Waterford Public Schools will be offering a K-12 Parent Academy, featuring Keynote Speaker Dr. Thomas Allen, The Founder and Director of Pathways, Center for Learning and Behavioral Health. There will also be breakout sessions, on Math and Language Arts Reader s Workshop, etc. Childcare will be provided and refreshments will be served. This will take place from 6:00 pm-9:30 pm at Waterford High School. On Monday, November 7 th we will be holding a Family Math night in conjunction with the other elementary schools at Clark Lane Middle School. The evening will feature John Felling from Boxcars and One Eyed Jacks. Box Cars and One-Eyed Jacks is a leading Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 10 consulting and publishing company specializing in games and teaching strategies for classrooms across North America. John Felling has been an educator and educational leader for the past 35 years. He is also a published author and consultant providing insight and expertise in the area of Math.
