3 Coaching Coaching enhances an individual s performance in their current or future roles. Through open discussions, guidance, support and encouragement goals and the steps required to achieve them are agreed and implemented. The steps or action plans identified are owned by coachee. The coaching process increases self-awareness, confidence and skills by identifying the areas that the individual needs to strengthen, how to strengthen them and developing the behaviours required. Psychometric Testing Dymphna Ormond has met the competencies for BPS (British Psychometric Society) Level A and B testing. We have access to a wide range of occupational tests and personality questionnaires which can be used a) as part of recruitment and selection process and b) personal and professional development. Belbin Team Roles A Belbin Team Role is defined as Our tendency to behave, contribute and interrelate with others in a particular way. Belbin defined a Team Role as the contribution that each person brings to the team, i.e. the active role that team members play in delivering to the overall results of the team. Understanding your preferred team roles and those of your colleagues and using effectively will enhance the performance of your teams. Action Learning: A Different Intervention Action learning is a structured process of collaborative learning, action and reflecting. The group or set learns with and from each other. A safe environment is created in which the members can present their challenges, ask searching questions, gain support and seek input. Throughout the process, which is facilitated by a skilled facilitator, the members become mentors to each other; a process which offers further personal growth and development.
