Teachers have to stick to the scheduled times. Conferences are divided into 3 parts, all of equal importance. 1. Student-involved portion examining student learning with parents and teacher (10 min.) 2. Parents and teacher meet further to discuss student learning progress (10 min.) 3. Students and parents share artifacts and student learning outside scheduled conference time. Teachers will communicate with parents on how/when this will occur. 6 th Annual Winter Warmth Drive Through Thursday, November 7 th We will be collecting new or gently used coats, jackets, hats, gloves, snow boots, snow pants and blankets. The items will be given to 17 schools in and around the Des Moines area whose student base is 100% qualified for free or reduced lunch. Please bring your items to school during the dates listed above.
Dollars For Scholars Food Drive November 1 st November 22 th All items will be donated to the Waukee Food Pantry. Items in need include canned fruit, pasta and rice sides, cereal, snacks, and baby food. Last year Waukee Community Schools collected over 17,000 POUNDS of food to donate. We are hoping to collect as much or more than last year!! All food is donated to families in our community.

Substitute Associates Needed! Both at Shuler Elementary and districtwide, we are always in need of substitute associates. These support staff positions are vital to the day to day success of our students and are a great way for family members and friends to work in the community. Fourth grade won thanks to Mrs. Christensen s class - they really put fourth grade over top by collecting 1,421 box tops! 4th grade total: 3,575 2nd place: 2nd grade with 3,007!

Sign up on Rev-Trak or this Sunday night at the Winter Sports Meeting at the High School. All monies generated through the WABC are used to purchase team uniforms and much of the athletic equipment used by all athletes.
