The eleventh total absence may result in loss of credit unless there are extenuating circumstances. School related absences do not count toward your student s total absences. You may access your student s grades and attendance through PRENTVUE on the school website. Please contact the library if you need assistance with PARENTVUE. NEWS FROM THE DANCE DEPARTMENT A Master Class Workshop will be available to all returning dancers at CdS and for any incoming freshman who would like to attend. CONGRATULATIONS to Kris Urban, our CDS journalism and yearbook advisor. Her dedication, experience and knowledge make her a leader in Arizona and she is being recognized for her outstanding work by the AZ State Board of Educators. CONGRATULATIONS to Senior Nate Marshall for winning the Big Milk Mustache Scholarship. The Arizona Milk Producers sponsored Is Your Stache Worth the Cash? contest. Nate said he got creative with his photo entry, which was snapped by his sister and only took about two tries. The key was to keep it simple but make sure the main feature is the center of attention, Nate explained. Judges from Arizona Milk Producers narrowed the submissions to 15 finalists who then submitted bios, letters of recommendation, and essays. Each received a pair of seats to the Fiesta Bowl and at the game the top three finalists were announced as the scholarship winners and honored on the field. The first prize scholarship went to Nate, an honors student who has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the Corona del Sol Boys Basketball Team. CONGRATULATIONS to Corona del Sol s Steel Drum Band under the direction of Scott Werner. They performed in the 2016 Fiesta Bowl Parade in Phoenix, on Saturday, January 2, 2016.
