Bonjour Badgers! April first is Poisson d avril. Chocolat fish are enjoyed in France throughout the Easter season. Children play an April Fools Day trick by placing a paper fish on adult s backs then running away yelling Poisson d'avril. The tradition is several centuries old with some saying it started from unknowing people being sent to market to buy freshwater fish when they were not in season. Some also link it to the zodiacal sign for Pisces being the fish. All classes will be participating in Posisson d Avril on April 3 rd due to Spring Break. In French Club students will be making Eiffel Towers! The next French Club will be April 11 th at 7h20. To get up to date information about French and French Club follow FrencheeCheerSenate on Twitter. À plus tard, Mme Minthorn A Note from Student Senate; The Bennington High School Blood Drive was March 2nd. The Red Cross thanked us for helping to restock their shelves. Our goal was 50 pints and we donated 55 pints! The Voice Box is available in the library and a locker for convenience. Students are encouraged to share their questions, comments, or concerns. Student Senate then addresses each and every question, comment, or concern at the meetings. One such suggestion was to have dress up days for Prom. Student Senate Officers will be voted on April 23 rd. In the works are Homecoming themes for next year. To get up to date information about Student Senate follow FrencheeCheerSenate on Twitter. Have a wonderful day. Ms. Minthorn

Robotics Club News The Titanium Badgers of Bennington High School participated in the FIRST Robotics Competition for our third season. This year s challenge asked us to build a robot that could pick up milk crates and place them on balances and scales to score points for our alliance. The Iowa Regional hosted 61 teams representing 5 states and two foreign countries (Turkey and Argentina) at the University of Northern Iowa for three actionpacked days. Your Titanium Badgers were able to meet all of their team goals for participation and having a functioning robot. We learned a lot of important lessons, and we re looking forward to another exciting and rewarding season next January!
