In 2003 when schools in our community lost funding for middle school sports, BGC San Dieguito stepped in to ensure that physical activity and teamwork would continue to be a part of our kids lives. Our program now supports approx. 1,000 student athletes each year from Earl Warren in Solana Beach, Diegueno and Oak Crest in Encinitas, and Carmel Valley Middle School & Pacific Trails in Carmel Valley. We offer 10 different sports appealing to both boys and girls in Basketball, Soccer, Track & Field, Cross Country, Flag Football, Volleyball, Field Hockey, Wrestling & Golf. On average, underserved or minority children ages 5-14 are most at risk for drowning. Drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death for children under the age of 14. BGC San Dieguito offers programs such as Swim Lessons to help educate and enhance the lives of all children despite their family s financial ability; teaching them the importance of learning how to swim from certified instructors in a safe and supportive environment.

Youth Swim Lessons are offered yearround. Our Aquatics Center features two regulation length 25 yard pools. Middle School Sports The BIG EI8HT Middle School Sports Conference serves approximately 1,000 student-athletes from Earl Warren in Solana Beach, Diegueno and Oak Crest in Encinitas and Carmel Valley Middle School and Pacific Trails in Carmel Valley.
