Messages to Students During the School Day As stated in our handbook, in our effort not to interrupt teaching/learning time, only emergency messages will be delivered to students. Lunch money, required homework assignments, transportation plans, etc. should be finalized before leaving home in the morning. If there is a change in schedule, please try your best to contact the office by 12 noon. We will make every effort to make your child and teacher aware of the change. We cannot guarantee requests made after 2:00 p.m. based on the needs of the day. Afternoon Dismissal As stated in the handbook, students who are car riders must picked up at dismissal at the main entrance via the car line. Students may not walk across our parking lot at dismissal. Keep in mind that our students are observing

behavior in the parking lot and are very aware of adult interactions. Students who live in the neighborhood next to St. Regis and walk to and from school should arrive and leave from the Lincoln Lobby doors. If there is a change in the regular way a child is to go home, please send a note to school. Friends accompanying a child walking home from school must have a note from their parent giving permission to walk to the home of another child. We ask that you be respectful of the neighborhoods surrounding St. Regis. Students who cannot walk all the way home should be picked up in car line or take the bus. Yearbook Messages Would you like to send a yearbook message to your child? Please click here for the form and all the details. Forms should be returned to the attention of Mrs. Lisa Clark. Payment will be on Whipple Hill. Email Mrs. Clark with questions at lisa.clark@stregis.org. All funds go toward financing the printing of the yearbook. Raider Track Distance Training - The coaches will meet any runners who want to train at 6:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday outside the St. Regis gym. Come as many days a week as you can. Please bring reflective gear as the kids run outside in the neighborhood near St. Regis. (We have some extra reflective gear just in case.) Open Gym - The track coaches are also offering open gym for any athletes who want to train over the winter. We train Monday through Thursday at St Regis from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This conditioning is open to all athletes from everywhere. In addition to our track athletes we encourage participation of alumni,

athletes from other programs, and athletes in other sports who want to get in shape. This is the time to build a base. Spring Track Registration - Registration for spring track is open on the St. Regis Booster Club website at regisraiders.leag1.com. The cost is $115 per athlete. Please remember that every family must pay their booster club dues. Dues must be paid just once per year per family. If you have any children who have already played a fall or winter Raider sport for the 2016-17 school year you do not need to pay the fee again. Contact Assistant Athletic Director Annette Askounis at aaskounis@comcast.net with questions. See you on the slopes! Last Day of School Parties It's that time of year again to begin planning the last day of school swim party/gathering for grades 1-8. This tradition has been a great way to end the year and kick off summer with a final gathering for the kids in each grade. These parties are typically very easy and inexpensive with past ideas including pizza and popsicles at a swim club or at Beverly Park. If you get a group to host, it is even that much easier. We will be selling admissions to these parties at our March Madness fundraiser on April 1. Please contact Jennifer Pruce (Jecsimps@gmail.com) if you are interested in hosting/organizing a grade level party. 5th and 8th grade already have hosts! Thank you! 8th Grade News A few reminders from the 8th grade room moms Please submit a baby picture of your 8th grader to lisa.clark@stregis.org by Wednesday, February 15. You must send this by email.

Mardi Gras is February 24. We need many 8th grade parents to volunteer. A SignUp Genius will be sent soon. We need photos for the 8th grade video. Submit to alysonbrown@mac.com by April 15.
