PARALEGAL STUDIES ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Program Does not prepare students for the practice of law See Catalog, CTE Counselor Resources Page, and Paralegal Gen Edu handout (located in Counseling Center) for more Info Paralegal Studies Associate in Science Degree: Paralegal Studies Certificate: 27 Paralegal Studies units 30 Paralegal Studies units + 24 units of General Ed. As listed in the PARA AS General Ed Pattern* Completed in 2 years + Students must possess an AA, AS, BA, BS or higher Completed in 1 year and a half *ABA does not accept all gen ed classes for the associates degree and students are advised to have them evaluated. If student has taken PARA classes somewhere else, only six units may be transferred into the program and those six must meet the following criteria: 1. ABA approved school 2. must meet both the unit and content requirements of the class for which the student would like the units applied and 3. are not required classes in the Full Coll Program as all required classes must be completed at Fullerton College.

Students may be eligible for CTE/ROP High School Articulated credit for Auto 131_F Auto Fundamentals. Suggested courses for new Auto Tech students: Auto 131_F Automotive Fundamentals (4 units) (Gateway class) Auto 065_F Automotive Electrical and Electronic Systems (5 units) Auto 081_F Engine Rebuilding and Repair (8 units) The Emission Control Specialist Certificate program will help the student become employed as an automotive emissions testing and repair specialist and provide opportunities to study toward National Institute of Automotive Excellence (ASE) certification and toward the State of CA emission control license exam.
