Other Diploma Requirements Literacy Requirement Written in March of Grade 10 80 hours of Community Involvement To be completed over the 4 years of secondary school Eligible/Ineligible activities Pre-approval to avoid disappointment Can start to complete hours in the summer before grade 9 contact BCSS guidance department to obtain pre-approval

High Performance Athlete Programming at BCSS - For specialized athletes who are currently competing, or aiming to compete at provincial and national levels in their sport(s). -- credit is taken in place of HPE ONLY if training is required during the school day -- all HPA students are still required to complete 1 HPE credit for graduation purposes. -- by application only --school accommodates all athletes through the ILIP period -See the Co-op department for more information.
French Programming All students are required by Ministry to take at least 1 French credit (at grade 9 level) Students from elementary French Immersion and French First Language Schools are encouraged to take the regular grade 9 French credit and continue on through grade 12 French
