Co-Curriculum Activities Programme Years 2-6 Summer Term 2018

Dear Parents, I am pleased to be able to provide you with information about next term s co-curriculum clubs which will be available to pupils. New clubs for this term include bushcraft club and yoga, athletics and cricket clubs and along with many existing favourite clubs. We continue to offer a range of clubs which appeal to our pupils in sports, arts and academic areas. Please note for all sports clubs P.E kits should be worn. Our expectation is for all pupils to be involved in the co-curriculum programme in some way. However, parents should ensure that their children really do wish to attend activities before selecting them, as reluctant attendees can be disruptive to the group. We also recommend that the children have at least one lunch break per week free of any club activity so that they may enjoy free play at lunch time. The musical clubs such as choirs, orchestra and instrument groups do not count as clubs as such, and a level of commitment is required so that those rehearsing are still there when we do a concert. They are in the club booklet so that you can avoid clashing with them when you choose other activities. You don t need to sign up for them or re-register each term your child will automatically be on the register. Please do make a note of the start and finish times, dates and any excluded dates for the clubs you book for your child. Not all clubs run for the same duration or for the same dates during the term. Failure to collect your child at the right time causes unnecessary work for our office staff and can result in after school care being required and charged. To make a booking for next term, follow these steps. 1) Select the clubs your child would like to join. 2) Return the booking form by the closing date: 14 th March 3) places will be confirmed by 21 st March. 4) Fees will be added to next term s invoice. Our pupils enjoy lots of opportunities to develop new skills through participation in the co-curriculum. We hope your child will get involved in the co-curriculum programme next term too. Kind regards, Miss Walker Director of Co-Curriculum
