Dear Applicant: Congratulations! You are applying to hold a leadership role within the Multicultural Student Center here at the University of Central Florida! The Multicultural Student Center (MSC) provides an awakening experience for the students who become involved with its various endeavors. You become a part of a phenomenal group of students who work together as a team to provide UCF with cultural events that promote diversity, inclusiveness and awareness. Serving within the MSC leadership also allows you to develop leadership and diversity skills that will be beneficial to your success in college as well as the workforce. The Multicultural Student Center has the unique responsibility to provide programs and events that promote cultural awareness and diversity while enhancing and enlightening the student body. The students at UCF depend on the MSC to create an enlightening, entertaining, and educational aspect to their collegiate experience. MSC leaders must currently have and maintain at least a 2.5 G.P.A, must be able to work in a team atmosphere (alongside or with the MSC s Graduate Assistant and Coordinator), delegate, and guide their committee through the selection and production of events. All MSC leaders must attend MSC Leadership Training/Retreat held prior to the beginning of fall semester, two workshops throughout the semester, and mandatory executive board meetings. Lastly, all MSC leaders must abide by all rules and regulations of the UCF Golden Rule, Multicultural Student Center, and the Office of Student Involvement. You will be notified via phone or email if you have been chosen to move forward with the interview process. Please ensure that you have provided a valid phone number and email address so that we may be able to reach you in a timely fashion. If you are chosen for an executive board position, you will be required to attend an overnight summer retreat which will serve as a training session and team building opportunity.
