Bus travellers will leave school at 2.15pm. Fathers Day Breakfast Thank you to all the dads, grandfathers and male role models that came to our Father s Day breakfast last Friday morning. It was a great success and nice to see so many dads etc there with their kids. Prep Heritage Farm Excursion Unfortunately due to the inclement weather predicated for tomorrow, we have had to reschedule our excursion for next term. Our trip will now take place on Friday 18 th November. Footy Special Lunch Day Next Thursday (15 th September) we are having a Footy Special Lunch Order Day. Please get your orders and money into the office by 9am MONDAY. Students are also invited to wear their favourite footy colours to school this day. Uniform Shop Our uniform shop will be open as of the start of Term 4. We will provide more details in next week s newsletter. Planning Week This week our teachers have been busy planning for next term. Term 4 will be filled with many engaging, fun and challenging activities for the kids. Out of School Hours Care Holiday Programs OSHC will be running a holiday program in the September holidays from Monday 19 th September to Thursday 29 th September (no program on Friday 30 th September as it is a public holiday for AFL grand final weekend). This program will be held in the hall, so please drop off and collect your child each day from there not the OSHC room. Cost will be $50 per child (before Child Care Rebate applied) per day plus additional cost (NO rebate for extra charges) for excursion days A copy of the holiday program is included in this Newsletter. Permission/Booking slips will need to be handed to the office to secure your child s place in the program. Over the Christmas/January holidays the program will also be running. The dates that the program will be open are; Wednesday 21 st December to Friday 23 rd December and from Tuesday 3 rd January to and including Monday 30 th January 2017 (but not open Australia Day Thursday 26 th January). A 2017 OSHC enrolment form must be completed before your child can attend this program. Forms are available on our website or forms will be sent out to currently enrolled OSHC students bt the OSHC team in term four. WEDNESDAY PLAYGROUP Yesterday in playgroup we read Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert and then we made our own beautiful Spring Garden. Grade 6 Canberra Camp A reminder for payment dates for camp (total of $350). These dates are TOMORROW 9 th September ($50) and Friday 16 th September ($50). Parents & Friends Our Father s Day stall took place last Thursday with students being able to purchase gifts ranging from 50c-$4.00. The children were all very polite and well-mannered and excited to be out shopping for their special person and P&F were pleased to raise a total of $955.94 as a result. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the stalls success by participating in our craft days, donating items, baking and assisting on the day the children really appreciated your efforts. ~ Thank you, Lauren Kneebone.
