ASSOCIATION OF CHARTERED CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANTS (ACCA) ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the global body for professional accountants. They aim to offer business-relevant, firstchoice qualifications to people of application, ability and ambition around the world who seek a rewarding career in accountancy, finance and management. Their globally relevant qualifications will give you an excellent start in core accountancy skills, or you can gain more specialist knowledge depending on your ability and the qualifications you already have. ACCA qualifications provide everything you need at any level to build a successful career in finance. ACCA has been around for over 100 years, it is the largest and fastest growing global professional accountancy body in the world with over 540,000 members and students in 170 countries They focus on professional values, ethics and governance. We use our expertise and experience to work with governments, regulators, professional bodies and employers to develop the global accountancy profession and to act in the public interest. ACCA REGISTRATION The modules must be sat for in a particular order (knowledge (F1-F3), Skills (F4-F9), Professionals (P1-P7 in which you are to complete five (5) papers). The exams can be written four times in a year (March, June, September and December) of every year and can be written at any ACCA centre. Students can attempt a maximum of four (4) papers or exams per sitting and a minimum of nothing per diet. The maximum number of papers to be written in a year is eight (8). The pass mark is 50%. Deadlines for exam payments are to be strictly observed. 5
ACCA QUALIFICATIONS ACCA BSC in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brooks University UK MBA from Oxford Brookes University Oxford Brookes Qualification (BSC Applied Accounting) Student who have passed the knowledge and skill module are eligible to apply for the Oxford Brookes BSC in accounting. No formal academic Qualification? Students with no formal academic qualifications can register to take exam at any level within Foundations in Accountancy (FAB, FMA and FFA). ---check HPS website for more information about Foundations in Accountancy. ACCA Minimum Requirements Students who meet the minimum entry requirements can start the ACCA Qualification. The minimum requirement is a Minimum of 2 A Levels and 3 GCSEs or SSCE or their equivalent. This minimum requirement enables them start from the Knowledge Module (F1, F2, F3). They can also get any of the Foundations in Accountancy qualification as an additional certificate. Graduate-entry route Students with relevant degrees from ACCA accredited institutions may be exempted from 1-9 papers/exams depending on the course they studied. --for more on exemptions, speak to HPS registrar or visit our website 6

OUR STRATEGY Personal Touch-- Due to the experience and professionalism of our tutors and trainers, students feel welcomed and comfortable with their lecturers which allows for a more relaxed learning atmosphere. Mentorship programme that helps students stay focused. Tutors are allocated to students to keep a tab on them and keep them up to date with the ACCA curriculum and other trainings. Students are sometimes taught digitally through the use of projectors and even videos for easy understanding. Class presentation and group work is usually used to enhance understanding. Assignment and some key educational notes are mailed to students. Terms and conditions /Admission Policy New Students will not be admitted for tuition without paying the registration fee. All course bookings must be fully paid for 3weeks after lecture commence. HPS reserves the right to inform the appropriate authorities on any issue required by law. Refund and Deferment Policy Fees are non-refundable or transferable Course change or deferment will not be allowed after four weeks of lecture commencement. Cancellation Policy On the event of lecture cancellation, students shall be contacted through text message, phone call, e-mail, social media or the school notice board. Attendance Policy Attendance is very important, 70% attendance is compulsory for Mock Exams. Assignments are taken seriously and must always be completed and submitted by students. Complaint Procedure All complains can be made through complaints@hpsnig.com You can pick up complaint forms at the customer desk All completed forms should be dropped in the complaints box. Complains will be dealt with privacy and investigation and feedback will take five (5) working days. Please contact complaints@hpsnig.com if you do not get feedback after five working days. 16
