Phys Ed: Green shorts, golf shirt and white socks All sport: Official school tracksuit Takkies must be predominantly white with a minimum of colour. Very Important Sport and school uniform may not be mixed. The school jersey may not be worn with the sports uniform and the tracksuit top may not be worn with the school uniform. The green sleeveless v-neck jersey may not be worn with sports clothes, except for cricket. Sport socks with logos such as Adidas, Nike, etc. may NOT be worn; only white socks. Socks must be ankle length and turned over. No secret socks allowed. Only Kenridge suitcases are allowed. Fleece tops and the old rain jacket are no longer part of the school uniform. 5. Hair Girls: Must be clean, natural and neat in style and suited to our school uniform and will be subject to acceptable norms, set by the school. Fringes should not hang in the eyes. Should the fringe hang over the eyebrows, it must be cut or fastened back with clips. (Educators will use their professional judgment in this regard.) Hair touching the collar must be tied up. Long hair must be neatly tied up/back. Only one or two ponytails allowed. No side ponytails. Neat ballet buns allowed. Long hair may not be tied with a decorative clip - no large bulldog/butterfly clips. No perming or hi-lighting of the hair permitted - gel/hairspray may be used in moderation. Only green, white or black ribbons, elastics, alice bands, towelling bands, scrunchies and clips are allowed. Hair bands should not be decorative or wider than 4½cm. No brown or fancy hair accessories are allowed. Boys: Must be clean, short, neat and natural in colour. The top should be thinned out. Long hair is not allowed Hair may not touch the ears or shirt collar No long fringes and fringe may not touch the eyebrows
Gel/hairspray may be used in moderation Hair may not be coloured 6. Nails Nails must be kept short No nail varnish on finger or toenails is allowed. 7. Jewellery Girls: The wearing of jewellery as part of a religious faith, practised by a learner, is allowed and a letter will be required to inform the school of this observance. A plain watch may be worn - No charm bracelet type of watch is allowed. Watch straps may not be bright/ luminous colours. Medic Alert bracelets permitted. Earrings: only 1 pair of small, plain gold or silver studs may be worn one earring in each earlobe. No studs with precious stones and no sleepers are allowed. No chains, rings or armbands are allowed. Boys: Only plain watches and Medic Alert bracelets are allowed. Watch straps may not be bright/ luminous colours. 8. Civvies Parents must check that their children are dressed appropriately for civvies days, before leaving home. The hair and jewellery rules for school uniform, also apply on civvies days. Skirts, dresses and shorts may not be very short. Shoes are compulsory. NOTE: The uniform may change, at the discretion of the Governing Body, from time to time. The Governing Body and / or the school reserve the right to amend this document at any time, provided that the changes remain within the ambit of the original document.
