Analysis Consultant June-Oct. 2012 Second Language Testing Incorporation, Rockville, Maryland Cleaned and analyzed examinee responses from the PKT spoken Chinese test, HSK spoken test, and OPI scores to evaluate validity of newly developed Chinese spoken test and published a technical report on the findings from the analysis in collaboration with Dr. Charles Stansfield. Analysis Consultant March. 2012 Springfield Public Schools, Oregon Cleaned and analyzed survey data from the Springfield High School Student Voice survey project and crafted a report and charts representing the findings to the school district staff in collaboration with Dr. Michelle Jensen. Language Specialty Intern June-Sep. 2011 Second Language Testing Incorporation, Rockville, Maryland Analyzed examinee responses and passages from translation and interpretation tests of various languages created for foreign language learners for the appropriateness of content and performance skill-level, reviewed passages and items from foreign language reading comprehension tests, and authored score reports for the pilot examinees. Research Intern June-Sept. 2010 Behavioral Research and Teaching, University of Oregon Project Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) Wrote literature synthesis on various teaching techniques including reading instruction and produced slideshows for the content included in teaching materials on SLDS websites. Project Reading and Math Growth Model Assessment (IES 2%) Developed vocabulary items, reviewing approximately 70,000 easycbm reading items in a group of 3-4 to reduce bias and to check alignment to grade level content and proficiency standards, and assisting pilot study.
